Nokia Contacts Working Again

Since the most recent release of Noika's MFE sync client our contact sync from Google didn't work (Plaxo did still work). This problem has been fixed. We're taking some time to fix a number of other smaller Nokia compatibility issues. These should be done in the next few days. We also have Palm interoperability working in the lab, but not yet deployed on the production servers. There will be a post here when that's done.

Nuevasync Still Rocks! Kudos to going through all the hard work of resolving problems issued by your clients for free.

By the way, when do you guys plan to have contact groups in google to be also sync to iphone/itouch? This feature will put you ahead even more if implemented.

I am still having some issues with the contact sync to/from my iphone. newly added contact in gmail don't find their way onto my iphone. the other direction seems to work fine.

Hi.

I got a Nokia phone a get a "system problem" message in the last few days. I'm using to sync my phone with Google Calendar.

Any idea what can be wrong?

Thanks!

@Gabo: there is a known issue with certain calendars and events and Noika. We're testing a fix today.

Any idea on a timeframe for when support for corporate exchange users is coming.

Would love you long time if you could solve the small problem of only 1 exchange account on the iponne/touch.. :D

@Gabo: the 'system error' problems should all be fixed now. There are a few remaining data translation issues (zero-duration events created on the device aren't syncing for example). We're working on these remaining bugs now.

Really looking forward to the Palm support here. Any more info on a timeline for that?!?

@David, thanks so much. I still have the error message.

@Gabo: I forgot one thing--you need to resync (called 'Full resync' in Nokia-land). The server maintains a schema version for each device, and that needs to be incremented for the fix to kick in. That only happens when the device resyncs.
btw I'm flying to the uk soon and will be using a Nokia E61i as my smart phone. I'm eating the dogfood...

@tlphipps: Palm workingness should be here soon. It's running in the lab, we just need to complete some testing before deploying.

@David, thanks again. No luck with "Full resync". Any other suggestion?

@Gabo: please send email to support, we'll get your username and check the server error log.
