iPhone 2.2 Firmware Released
Apple released their iPhone/iPod Touch 2.2 firmware update today. We're excited about this because it includes a fix for the 'freezing iPhone' problem that some users have been experiencing. We'd like to hear from users who have updated their devices, particularly users who previously had experienced the freezing syndrome.

I wasn't having the problem of my iPhone freezing w/ Nuevasync and 2.1.
But the 2.2 upgrade has worked great for me.
I haven't had any freezes with the new firmware, but judging by how seldom they occurred for me on 2.1, it will be a while before I can really tell for sure.
Keep up the good work, and thanks again for my favorite add-on to iPhone software.
No joy for me, still problem with initially adding the account. Whilst I can add the Exchange Account in the settings, when I go to the calendar I just get an endless rotating network symbol in the status bar and no diary events from google calendar showing. If I quit and try to go back into calendar again it will freeze.
Did a complete restore on my iPhone without backup restore afterwards before 2.2 update because I had to "remove the jailbreak". ;-)
Added the Exchangeaccount and everything worked fine... contacts and calendar.
Thanks for your great work at NuevaSync.

works amazingly, soo glad this has been fixed, was quite annoying :)
Yes, we have 15k devices upgraded to 2.2. already and zero reports of problems relating to the update. Also no new reports of freezing.
Since the 2.2 upgrade, my iphone now no longer syncs. Just hangs
same here, no sync since i am on 2.2.aarrghh!
Never had any problem with NuevaSync. But after upgrading to 2.2 today can't get sync to bring over my calendar and contacts. Every status page lists services as verified and ok. Really don't know what else to check
I am also having no luck bringing my contacts or calendar over to my upgrade iphone. :(
i fixed my problem. i only sync my contacts wiht nuevasync and google. i realized that i need the "contacts" icon to start the sync (never used this icon, even hide it from the screen)
Looks like my sync is working now.
Don't know exactly what fixed it. I played with the setting - on/off few time for contacts and calendar, I deleted the account also few times and then re-setup it. But final result - it synced at one moment and now looks like it works...
Hi,
I am using Nuevasync for syncing contacts and calendar to my iPhone 3G. It works great, except like some others I have read about, it seems to drain my battery very quickly.
I just updated to 2.2, so maybe that will help?
But, recently I tried to turn off Nuevasync temporarily, with the intention of just turning it on every once in a while to re-sync, hence saving battery. But this resulted in all the contacts on the iPhone being erased. I go them back easily by turning sync back on but ... this seems like diabolical behaviour to me. Why can't I stay "offline" for a while, and jsut turn sync on occasionally when I want it, without losing all my contacts?
The hanging problem on accessing the calendar and contacts is now gone! Hooray!
Definitely seems a lot more solid. No freezes for a while. Thanks for this service!
didn't make a difference for me, I still get hangs when I try to enable my calendar. I have resorted to using Nemusync in the meantime, as the freezing just got too much to bear.
I am in the same boat as adamb. I have not had a successful sync since the upgrade to 2.2
Hey - I got it to work. Sorry to have reported a problem with 2.2. All's well with sync on the calendar again.
I am extremely happy with NuevaSync. You should charge people for this. Where can I donate?
